In the 1930's Nazi's perpetrated not only Jews, but gypsies, homosexuals, physically handicapped, and the mentally disabled. The Nazi's violated three of the current crimes in our laws which was crimes of conspiracy, crimes against peace, and war crimes. There were also parts of the law that still needed to be covered which caused the world to have the need to create a new category of
law: crimes against humanity. The Nuremberg Trials that came after WWII were made to punish the individuals that were responsible for these atrocities that changed the world. In the Nuremberg Trials, a very important set of principles came about with seven parts that all had the same idea. These seven parts all strengthened this idea by covering all the possible exits that were left open.
The principle was titled the Nuremberg Principles and stated that nobody (including the heads of state and other government officials) were not above the law. They too would have to obey and listen to the laws that were instituted in the land. This set of international trials (Nuremberg Trials)
created laws that would make it so later events like the Holocaust would never happen again and led to other conventions that would assist with these laws.
